Dicoda Waugh

Chief Innovation Officer & Secretary

Dicoda is a Co-Founder of The Achieve A Dream Foundation and serves as the Chief Innovation Officer. As the CIO, Dicoda is responsible for marketing strategies and content development and assists with strategic planning, innovative decision-making, and creating strategic priorities for AADF. Dicoda additionally serves as the Secretary.

Dicoda was born and raised in St Andrew, Jamaica, before migrating to the United States on a full athletic scholarship to the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from UDC. She is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated.

Dicoda currently resides in Virginia and serves as an officer in the military. Her passion for mentorship came from her experiences as a student-athlete and navigating the challenges of being an international student-athlete. Dicoda aspires to mentor, encourage, and support as many student-athletes as possible by providing knowledge, advice, and guidance to enhance each student-athlete experience.

Roots and Culture

Dicoda attended St. Andrew High School for Girls, where she was a member of the Track and Field team and Basketball team. She competed in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump throughout her athletic career. In her spare time, Dicoda enjoys listening to Jamaican music. Her favorite Jamaican dish is stew peas and white rice.
