Katherine Anderson, MBA

Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Katherine is a Co-Founder of The Achieve A Dream Foundation (AADF) and serves as the Chief Financial Officer. As the CFO, Katherine is responsible for managing the financial actions of AADF. Duties include tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the AADF’s financial risks and proposing corrective actions, and financial reporting. Additionally, Katherine serves as the Treasurer.

Katherine is native of Kingston, Jamaica. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Business Administration from Marymount University. Katherine is an Accountant with more than eight years experience in the nonprofit, banking and telecommunications industry. She is also a Certified Financial Literacy Coach and Education Instructor. From her own life experiences, self-study, and ongoing research, Katherine develops programs about budgeting, saving, investing and debt elimination.

Katherine currently resides in the DC metropolitan area with her family. Her love for track and field and being a student-athlete for 17 years drives her passion for this organization. Katherine is a passionate proponent of student empowerment. She values opportunities to give back that are aligned to her specific expertise.

Roots and Culture

Katherine attended St. Andrew High School for Girls, where she was a member of the Track and Field team. She competed in the shot-put, discus, javelin, hammer, and weight throw throughout her athletic career. Katherine is passionate about mentoring student-athletes and educating individuals on financial literacy. In her spare time, Katherine enjoys sharing Jamaican stories with her family. Her favorite Jamaican dish is Ackee & Saltfish.
