WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT US
“Dr. McGreggor is one of the people who has had the most impact on my life. I have a mentor in my corner that I can rely on for guidance, support, and sometimes just a shoulder to lean on. I can ask her anything about life and it’s challenges and she will either give me advice I need or point me in the direction of someone who does. Her advice was invaluable during my graduate program. Because the educational system isn't perfect, having someone in my corner to help me navigate the various hurdles was crucial to my success. I highly recommend student-athletes to utilize the programs offered by The Achieve A Dream Foundation”

“Being a student-athlete at Florida State University for four years, I knew I wanted to remain close to sports and continue higher education. I met Dr. McGreggor and I shared this with her, which sparked the beginning of our mentorship.
During the pandemic, I faced many difficulties and moments of hopelessness. I was not sure how I would achieve my goals or even my dreams. I was blessed to have her teach me the importance of mental health, having a pragmatic approach, and the peace in remaining grounded.
With these tools and being introduced to The Achieve A Dream Foundation, I am currently able to pursue my Master’s Degree while being an Assistant Coach at a Division I institution.
Dr. McGreggor was able to show me a reflection of this foundation and what her fellow board members stand for. This foundation proves to work assiduously to increase awareness of mental health issues and assist with academic and financial matters. Their specific target to international students is commendable as it helps bridge the gap with transitioning from student-athletes into the workforce. That bridge is also essential at the high school level when moving from the ISSA Boys and Girls Champs to the NCAA system. This foundation has helped me and many other student-athletes achieve their dreams”

“Throughout the years I have had the great pleasure of working with the amazing founders of The Achieve A Dream Foundation. Prior to their launch back in 2020, I have had the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight from these leaders as early as 2009 when I was navigating the challenges of being an International Student-Athlete.I believe this foundation is very important to the growth and development of future and current student-athletes. Congratulations to the leaders of The Achieve A Dream Foundation, keep doing the necessary work for our future doctors, lawyers, and professional athletes as they navigate their college journey.”

“The Achieve A Dream Foundation has played an intricate role in my life from 2013 to this present day. When I was attending high school in Jamaica, I met one of the co-founders, Dr. Kristal McGreggor, who recruited me to attend Hampton University. When I received my scholarship, this was the first time I would have been so far away from my family. While I was grateful for this opportunity, I was also scared because I was not sure if I would transition well to the United States. However, Dr. McGreggor did everything to walk me through the process and ensured that it was as smooth as possible.
To help me network with others, once I got to Hampton, Dr. McGreggor introduced me to the other co-founders who have been there for me throughout my undergraduate and graduate years of college. They have assisted me with pretty much everything I needed to be successful. They have always been there, whether they were checking in, critiquing my resume, pushing me to step out of my comfort, or helping me with a scholarship or grad school application. Furthermore, they mentored and helped prepare me for life after college.
The founders of the foundation are great individuals you might only meet once in a lifetime. As former international student-athletes, they pride themselves in going over and beyond to educate and share their lived experiences with other student-athletes. They are passionate about what they do and are committed to serving student-athletes. They are friendly, accommodating, supportive, and incredible individuals to have as your support system. I am forever grateful for all they have done for me, and I highly recommend that student-athletes utilize their services.”

“ Dr. McGreggor has been my mentor for a few years now, and I am super grateful. She assisted me with getting an academic scholarship at Hampton University, which was a big blessing for a young girl from Jamaica (the exchange rate is terrifying). After I graduated from HU, she assisted me with applying for scholarships for law school. She reviewed several "continued interest" statements I wrote while I was waitlisted for Georgetown Law and George Washington University Law School. In addition, when I was accepted to GW Law, I wanted an increase in the scholarship amount I was offered, so I went to Dr. McGreggor. We drafted a statement discussing why I should be offered an increase in my scholarship, and a few days later, I received an increase in funding.
I am also an American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholar, and as you may have guessed, Dr. McGreggor assisted me with reviewing my personal statement for that application as well. I've had many amazing experiences with Dr. McGreggor and appreciate that I can call her whenever I have a difficult time with school, work, or just life in general. She has an open-door policy, and her mentorship is top tier!
I believe that student-athletes should take full advantage of the foundation's mentorship program as they would have mentors who will go over and beyond to ensure that they are successful.”
