Dr. McGreggor is a Co-Founder of The Achieve A Dream Foundation and serves as the Director of Program Development & Community Engagement. In this role, Dr. McGreggor focuses on developing AADF’s relationships with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and other external partners. She advises on strategic decisions affecting AADF’s growth and development and oversees program development and implementation for international student-athletes affiliated with ConnectU. Additionally, Dr. McGreggor serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Dr. McGreggor was born and raised in St. Andrew, Jamaica, before migrating to the United States at 16. Upon completing high school, she attended Bronx Community College and majored in Marketing Management. Dr. McGreggor then received a full athletic scholarship to the illustrious Hampton University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing. After completing her degree, she worked at her alma mater for three years as the Director of Operations and Assistant Throws Coach for the Track and Field program. She also obtained a Master of Science from Hampton University in Sport Administration in 2015. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2020 with her Ph.D. in Sport Management. While at the University of Michigan, she served as the HBCU Alliance Liaison within the School of Kinesiology. She actively supported the School of Kinesiology’s diversity initiatives by recruiting underrepresented students for the graduate programs and created programs to create a sense of belonging for undergraduate and graduate students.
She holds a certificate in African American and Diasporic Studies from the University of Michigan Department of African American Studies, a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Rackham Graduate College, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
Dr. McGreggor currently serves as the Associate Director of Athletics, Student-Athlete Success at Austin Peay State University. She is also a researcher, consultant, and motivational speaker. With her unique blend of education, experience as a former student-athlete, and work experiences, Dr. McGreggor is passionate about mentoring student-athletes and helping student-athletes with navigating life after sports.
Roots and Culture
Dr. McGreggor attended St. Andrew High School for Girls, where she participated on the Track and Field team and served as the Basketball Team’s captain. She competed in the shot-put, discus, hammer throw, and weight throughout her athletic career. In her spare time, Dr. McGreggor enjoys making authentic Jamaican meals for her family and friends, listening to music, working out, and watching her favorite TV shows. Her favorite Jamaican dish is curry chicken and white rice.
