Kristal McGreggor, PhD

Chief Development Officer & Director – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Dr. McGreggor is a Co-Founder of The Achieve A Dream Foundation and serves as the Chief Development Officer. As the CDO, Dr. McGreggor focuses on developing AADF’s relationships with partners, investors and advising on strategic decisions affecting AADF’s growth and development. Dr. McGreggor assists with program development and implementation. Additionally, Dr. McGreggor serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Dr. McGreggor was born and raised in St. Andrew, Jamaica before migrating to the United States at 16 years old. During her undergraduate years at the illustrious Hampton University, she received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Upon completing her degree, she worked at her alma mater for three years as the Director of Operations and Assistant Throws Coach for the Track and Field program. She also obtained a Masters of Science from Hampton University in Sport Administration. Dr. McGreggor recently graduated from the University of Michigan, with her Ph.D. in Sport Management. She holds a certificate in African American and Diasporic Studies from the Department of African American Studies and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Rackham Graduate College. During her time at Michigan, she served as the HBCU Alliance Liaison within the School of Kinesiology, where she actively supported the department’s diversity initiatives.

Dr. McGreggor currently resides in Connecticut and serves as an Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development at Yale University. With her unique blend of education, experience as a former student-athlete, and work experiences, Dr. McGreggor is passionate about mentoring, building relationships with student-athletes and their character development.

Roots and Culture

Dr. McGreggor attended St. Andrew High School for Girls, where she was a member of the Track and Field team and served as the Basketball Team’s captain. She competed in the shot-put, discus, hammer throw, and weight throughout her athletic career. In her spare time, Dr. McGreggor enjoys making authentic Jamaican meals for her family and friends. Her favorite Jamaican dish is curry chicken and white rice.
